Mt. Kirkjufell, situated on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in western Iceland, rises 463 meters (1,519 feet) above sea level and boasts steep slopes in all directions, carved by glaciers during the Ice Age. At its summit, one can observe various layers of deposited lava that were formed millions of years ago. The mountain stands prominently above the quaint fishing town of Grundarfjörður and is widely regarded as one of the world’s top 10 most beautiful mountains, often recognized as the “Arrow Head Mountain” from Game of Thrones.
