During a two week cruise of Alaska, Yasue was inspired by the rugged features of the terrain, the sheer scale and silent force of nature expressed by the sea, the mountains, and the glaciers.
Observing this from different perspectives, from the land, the sea and even from the sky (courtesy of a local helicopter) she captured this in a series of 6 canvases.
